Black House

Black House is a renovation to an 80 year old house that had gone through many transformations throughout its life. Studying the DNA of the house we removed many layers of interventions on the original house, and then updated it to modern living, while keeping its overall form true to the street that it lives on. An elegant black exterior in juxtaposed with a bright white interior with floor to ceiling windows. Opening up interior walls with recessed hidden beams a continuous ceiling is achieved allowing for a large flowing living, dining and kitchen space onto a beautiful deck and patio that frames the garden beyond.
