Porous Light

Porous Light acts as an interactive sculptural form, capturing and playing with light to ultimately define a spatial relationship with the viewer. The project counters the typical “object in the street” by encouraging the public to pass through, reflect on, and inhabit this intervention. Porous Light provides an opportunity for solace and reflection amid the busy urban context of Argyle and Sackville streets. The sculpture provides a porosity that transforms visually throughout the day, while at night it transmits, captures, and reflects light from the surrounding streetscape.
